He was predeceased by: his parents, H. E. Clifton and Brina Beatrice Turner Clifton; his wife Donna Jean Peterson Clifton; and his brother Charles Clifton. He is survived by: his sons, Richard Dahl Clifton (Incha) of Korea, Edward Earl Clifton, Sr. (Annie) and Brian Thomas Clifton (Holly) of Holden Beach; his grandchildren, Edward Earl Clifton, Jr., Brianna Noel Walter, Aaron Clifton, Melinda Stone and Madison Priest; his great grandchildren, Theo Walter, Mason Clifton, Tanner Clifton, Henry Clifton, Hazelynn Priest, Elijah Stone, Jacoby Stone and Rosalie Stone; and his brothers, Doug Clifton (Mary Helen) of Leland and Randy Clifton of Fayetteville. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
