He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilmore Boyd Hamm and Edna Galloway Hamm; his stepson Joseph Williamson; his brother Scott Hamm; and his grandson Micheal Edwards.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Stone Hamm; his children, Lisa Hamm, Ronda Giles (Charles Giles) and Robert Hamm (Jessie Fulton); his grandchildren, Christopher Hamm, Elaine Gaston, Brittney Giles, Tasha Witherspoon and Brody Follansbee; his sisters, Linda Witherspoon (Yates Witherspoon), Janet Scarborough (David Scarborough) and Thelda Wood; his sister-in-law Cathey Hamm; his daughter-in-law Sarah Huber; and his close friend John Wright.
