He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard Sidney Holden and Lucinda Evans Holden; his wife Annette Lennon Holden; his children, Alicia H. Hemminger (Lamont) of Tarboro, NC, Stephanie H. Hemminger (Richard) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and Samuel Wesley Holden of Bolton, NC; his siblings, Shelba H. Caison of Holden Beach, NC, Richard Sidney Holden, II of Supply, NC and Roy Holden (Nancy) of Supply, NC; his grandchildren, Grayson Reaves, Kenneth Stephen "Alex" Hemminger, Keagan Hemminger, Krista Hemminger and Madeline Hemminger; and his great grandchild Sullivan Reaves.
