He is survived by: his son Joseph Rob Byrd (Melissa Hope) of Nakina; his grandchildren, Colby Dawson Byrd and Gracelyn Marie Byrd; and his sister Jane Stubbs of Morganton, NC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
