He is survived by: his wife Annie Cartrette Batten; his son Robert Franklin "Frankie" Batten, Jr. (Linda) of Nakina; his stepchildren, Rebecca McDowell (Ronald) of Clarendon, Laura Spivey (Michael) of Whiteville, Lisa Mills (Chuck) of Whiteville and Mark Fisher (Cindy) of Whiteville; his granddaughter Emilee; and his stepgrandchildren, Courtney, Christy, Phillip, Hannah, Zack, Bontee, Scott, Justin and Brandy. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.
