He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hetrick and Pearle K. Hetrick; his daughter Karen Kahler; his son-in-law Timothy Denton; and his grandchildren, Lauren Kahler and Emily Kahler.

He is survived by: his wife Sandra Jowayne Ray Hetrick; his children, William "Bill" Allen Hetrick (Donna) of Oathe and Lynn Annette H. Denton of Derby; and his stepdaughter Carla Bernice Travaglio Fisher (Craig) of Whiteville, NC.
