He is survived by: his children, Linda Gurkin Brulet of Whiteville and Johnny Gurkin (Anita) of Carolina Beach; his sister Hope Campbell of Fayetteville; his grandchildren, Dr. Brett Gurkin of Wilmington, Alexa Jackson (Dean) of Whiteville and Jordan Gurkin of Raleigh; and his great grandchildren, Ty, Zander, Evan, Anya, Dani, Lena, Anna and Seth. He is also survived by friends and a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend.
