With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Norwood Bowen of Whiteville, North Carolina, born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on December 3, 2021 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Soloman Bowen, Sr. and Nettie Horne Bowen; and his wife Annie Will Walker Bowen. He is survived by: his daughters, Linda B. Jablonowski of Chadbourn, Dr. Teresa B. Melvin (Greg) of Mooresville and Robbin B. Simmons (Ricky) of Whiteville; his grandchildren, Carmen Melvin, Alison Melvin and Cas Bowen; his sister-in-law Mamie Bowen; his nephews, Donald Bowen, Sr. and Kenneth Bowen; his great-nephews, Tally Bowen and Donald Bowen, Jr.; and his pets, Roy, Pippi and Flossie.
