She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Reaves and Mary Ellis Sing; her husband Milton Hancock; and her siblings, Bobby Sing, Tommy Sing, Buster Reaves and Sandra Wyrick.
She is survived by: her children, Milton Hancock III, Gregory Ward, Darrell Ward, Joan Ward (Gerald) and Kimberly Ritchart; her sisters, Judy Peters and Betty Welch (Marty); her grandchildren, Kateleen Howard (Mark), Ethan Pratt, Markus Gore, Brittany Ward and Tara Ward; and her great grandchildren, Kha'liyah Keel and Kingston Howard.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Peacock Funeral Home (1227 S Madison St, Whiteville, NC 28472). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 10th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Peacock Funeral Homes Chapel (1227 S Madison St, Whiteville, NC 28472).
