With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Jane Garrell Sessions of Whiteville, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 22, 2024 at the age of 91. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Franklin Garrell and Mary Melvin Garrell; and her husband James Richard Sessions, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Lynn S. Patterson (Ralph) of Due West, SC, James Richard Sessions, Jr. (Carol) of Goldsboro, NC, Stephen Franklin Sessions (Dana) of Clayton, NC and T. Scott Sessions (Amy) of Lake Waccamaw; her sister Gail Page Garrell of Whiteville; her grandchildren, Reggie, Ricky Patterson, Graceanna, Sealey Jane and Sara Catherine Sessions; and her caregiver Devoria Anders.
