She was predeceased by: her parents, Jasper E. Dew and Lillie Flynn Dew; her husband Wilmur Watkins; and her son Wil Watkins. She is survived by: her daughter Debra W. Young; her grandchildren, Matt L. Watkins of Whiteville, Jessica Smith (Joey) of Conway, SC, Carrie W. Wilson (Justin White) of Whiteville and Joshua Watkins of Concord, NC; and her great grandchildren, Ashton Smith, Audrey Smith, Ethan Watkins-White, Wyatt Watkins-White and Kaleigh Watkins-White.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the McKenzie Mortuary (112 Jefferson St, Whiteville, NC 28472). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, February 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the McKenzie Mortuary Chapel (112 Jefferson St, Whiteville, NC 28472).
