She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Will Pait and Sallie Hester Pait; her children, Larry Batten and Hattie "Brady" Watts; her siblings, Joe Pait, Fred Pait, Annie Mae Singletary and Vera Bryan; her children, Shirley Marshall of Roanoke, VA, Sandra Berdeaux (David) of Tucson, Kathy Soles (Terry) of Whiteville, Sammy Batten (Louise) of Fayetteville and Willie Batten of Hallsboro; and her siblings, Louise Butler of Bladenboro and Will Pait, Jr. of Southern Pines. She was also cherished by 16 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren.
