She was predeceased by: her parents, Richard Andrew Aydell Sr. and Bertha Carolina Ward Aydell; her husband Grady Godwin; and her son Roger Dale Godwin. She is survived by: her daughter Melissa Godwin of Whiteville; her siblings, Larry Aydell of Leland, Cynthia Watkins of Wilmington, Polly Hanna of Clearwater Florida, Miriam Jordan of Wilmington and Louise Crosby of Wilmington; her grandsons, Bud Adam Ward and Michael Scott; her niece Angel Aydell of Clarkton; and her nephews, Jimmy Sutcliff of Wilmington and Darin Tucker of Shallotte.
