She was predeceased by: her father John Wesley Greene; her husband Horace Lee Smith; her son Horace Dwight Smith; and her sisters, Nancy G. Israel and Louise G. Hill.
She is survived by: her sons, John Christopher Smith of Hallsboro, Mark Todd Smith of Tabor City and Forrest G. Smith (Melanie) of Wilmington; her daughter-in-law Daniese Smith of Browns Summit, NC; her grandchildren, Christi Collins (Chris), Sarah Johnson (Clayton), Madison Smith and Chandler Smith; and her great grandchild Caitlyn Grace Collins.
