It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lillie (Lilly) Godwin (Whiteville, North Carolina), who passed away on February 19, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James Edison Godwin; her parents, Crandell Butler Clewis and Alpha Mae Long Clewis; and her siblings, Curtis Clewis, Lena Smith, Edell Suggs, Lautense Etheridge, Ora Jane Clewis and Wilda Evans.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Godwin (Dottie) of Crusoe and Kathy Blaisdell (Brad) of Surf City, NC; her grandchildren, Brittany Huffman, William Godwin and Wesley Godwin; and her sister Eloise Gravitt of South Boston, VA..
