She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bethea and Lou Ella White Bethea; and her husband Eddie Carmichael. She is survived by: her sons, Fletcher Bethea of Whiteville, NC, William Carmichael (Tabitha) of Jacksonville, Roscoe Bethea (Darlene) of Evergreen, NC and James Bethea of Evergreen, NC.; her niece Mildred McDufffie; and her nephew Alton Bethea. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
