She was predeceased by: her parents, Shepherd D. Black and Mary Dillard Black; her grandson Joshua Alan Barrett; and her siblings, Minnie Caison, Ruth White and Frank Black.
She is survived by: her children, Oden Lee Barrett, Jr. of Whitevile, John Eldridge Barrett of Whitevile, Ronda Lynn Milligan of Clarendon, Peggy Barrett Price of Wilmington and Vickie Leigh Barrett of Chadbourn; her sisters, Vina Clifton of Virginia Beach, VA, Helen Bass Jordan (Bobby) of Hallsboro and Terry Lovette (Dennis) of Granite Falls; her grandchildren, Rebecca Herring, Leighangel Butler, Jay Barrett, Elizabeth Barrett, Izaya Barrett and Gracie Barrett; and her great grandchildren, Daniel Canonico and Elinora Barrett.
