With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joyce Ann Newman of Whiteville, North Carolina, born in Loris, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 28, 2024 at the age of 70. As Joyce departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Joyce. Though Joyce may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Lorenzo Hardee and Lucille Floyd Hardee; and her brother Clifton "Buddy" Hardee. She is survived by: her husband Kirk Mitchell Newman; her children, Eric Alan Martin of Myrtle Beach, Jimmy Wayne Allen (Lisa Gore) of Ocean Isle, Wendy Teresa Allen of Chadbourn and Deborah Desiree Allen of Fayetteville; her stepdaughter Julia Kay Passaro (Mark) of Conway; and her brother Edwin Lorenzo Hardee (Debbie) of High Point. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
