He is survived by: his wife Debby Giles Pate; his children, Gene Pate (Robin) of Cameron, Kevin Pate of Cameron, Nick Thompson (Nicole) of Thomasville, Jacob Harris of Raleigh, Kelly Pate (Tim) of Sanford and Ashley Stull of Charleston, SC; and his siblings, Buddy Pate of Sanford, Sylvia Baker of Sanford, Dot McAllister (Larry) of Laurinburg, Kathy Smith of Sanford and Peggy Strickland (Erwin) of Laurinburg. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchildren.
