We are sad to announce that on June 4, 2020, at the age of 81, John Nickolaus (Whiteville, North Carolina), born in Clintwood, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Sledge Nickolaus; his parents, Virginia C. Nickolaus and Charles A. Nickolaus; his brothers, Charles II and Andrew; his sister-in-law Claire Nickolaus; and his nieces and nephews, William T. Sledge, Matthew B. Davis, Beverly D. Moore and Linda K. Bunch.
He is survived by: his sister White (Bill) of Titusville, FL; his sister-in-law Myra of Brentwood, TN; his nieces and nephews, Charles A. Nickolaus III, Glenn W. Sledge, Donald N. Moore, Melanie N. Mahathy, Delia R Nickolaus, Elizabeth S. Magenbauer, Soo Soo S. Fort, Julia D. Hooper and Beth D. Teal; and his great-niece Andrea B. Miller. He is also survived by 20 great nieces and nephews and 29 great-great nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID19 restrictions, a graveside service limited to family was held Sunday, June 7, at Whiteville Memorial Cemetery.
