He was predeceased by: his parents, Madge McPherson (Hinson) and John McPherson; his stepfather Joe McPherson; his sisters, Veta McPherson and Sue Skipper; and his daughter Sherry McPherson.
He is survived by: his wife Nellie (Price); his daughters, Joan (Terry) and Susan (Johnny); his granddaughters, Kristen (Toby) and Sarah; his great grandchild Ruby; his brother Charles (Frances); and his daughter Terry.
Instead of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Lake Waccamaw State Park Friends, a non-profit organization dedicated to the betterment of the Park and Lake Waccamaw.
