We are sad to announce that on January 23, 2025, at the age of 95, Jean Montie Roland (Whiteville, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobart McKinley Roland and Nora Bell Anglin Roland; his siblings, Warren Roland (Doris), Marie Roland, Virginia R. Mcorkle (John) and Floy R. Wright; his brothers-in-law, Hershel Williams, Arnold Brown and Ronald Suggs; and his son-in-law Robert Bullard.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret W. Roland; his children, Deborah R. Bullard and Montie W. Roland (Connie) of Sanford, NC; his sisters, June R. Williams of Leicester, NC and Shirley R. Brown; his granddaughters, Lindsay Bullard of Denver, CO, Tracey Bullard of San Diego, CA, Shelby R. Pleines (Adam) of Apex, NC and Avery Roland of Boone, NC; his stepgrandson Jonna Girard of Raleigh, NC; and his sister-in-law Ann W. Suggs. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Lebanon Methodist Church (9237 James B White Hwy S, Whiteville, NC 28472). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
