He was predeceased by: his parents, George Lennon Benton Sr. and Linda Gail Nobles Benton; and his stepbrother Roger Sellers. He is survived by: his brother George L. Benton, Jr. (Melinda) of Chadbourn; his nephew Josh Faircloth (Denise); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Harley, Peyton, River and Carol Bowen (Elton) of Whiteville; and also, Leroy Sellers of Whiteville and Kenny Sellers (Pam) of Lake Waccamaw.
