He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie S. Duncan and Mary Todd Duncan; his wives, Maxine Stephens Duncan and Hilda Soles Duncan; his siblings, Maitland Duncan Lurie and Vertise Duncan; and his brother-in-law Michael Stephens.
He is survived by: his children, Gary Duncan (Laura) of Mebane, NC, Donna Poe (Brian) of Mebane, NC, Melissa Vetrano (Steve) of Whiteville, Sandra Benton (Keith) of Whiteville and Nancy Benton of Whiteville; his grandchildren, Michelle Goodner, Andrea Logan, Ashley Duncan, Kevin Benton, Brian Benton, Scott Benton, Stephanie Ward, Jessica Benton, Zack Duncan, Jordan Vetrano and Noah Vetrano; and his sister-in-law Opal Stephens. He is also survived by two great grandchildren.
