She was predeceased by: her parents, Noah Webster Bennett and Lundia M. Simmons Bennett; her husband Charles Eston Blackmon of Whiteville; and her son Charles Devon Blackmon. She is survived by: her children, Tommy Bennett Blackmon (Tina) of Whiteville, Dixie M. Vanvalkenburgh (Doug) of Athens, Georgia and Glenda K. Mclawhorn (Carroll) of Greenville; her grandchildren, Kyle Bennett Blackmon (Emily) of Whiteville, Kelly Glen Mclawhorn Graham (Chad) of Greenville, Patrick Jay Mclawhorn of Greenville, Charles Adam Blackmon (Molly) of Hawaii, Alicia Fay Blackmon Sutton (Chad) of LaGrange, Timothy Devon Blackmon and Sonya Blackmon; her stepgrandson Cory Powell (Tiffany); her great grandchildren, Ezra, Gordon Eston Blackmon, Ginny, Wyatt Charles Graham and Ellie Pearl Sutton; her stepgrandson Luke Powell; and her brother Graham Keith Bennett of Jasper, Texas. She is also survived by 11 children.

Because of COVID, a graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at 2:00 pm, at New Hope Cemetery, Whiteville, NC.
