Eakins; her siblings, Homer Carteret, Woodrow Carteret, Betty Jo Buffkin, Eva Mae Nobles and Dora B. Davis; and her sister-in-law Candy Carteret.
She is survived by: her children, George "Buddy" Harris of Hertford, NC, Avery Harris (Peggy) of Taylors, SC, Harold Harris of Lumberton, NC and Martha Harris of Whiteville, NC. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren.
