Simmons (Lynn) of Chadbourn, NC, Robert Ward (Melinda) of Whiteville, NC and David Ward (Kay) of Whiteville, NC; his sisters, Faye Gore of Nakina, NC and Blanche W. Marlowe of Whiteville, NC; and his grandchildren, Robert Ward, Jr., Justin Ward, Christina W. Clark and Amber Simmons. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
