Elizabeth Matthews Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elizabeth Matthews (Whiteville, North Carolina), who passed away on October 10, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George "Buster" Greene Sr. and Etha Lee "Eckie" Greene; her brother George "Buster" Greene Jr.; her daughters, Sarah Burney and Susan Gaskin; and her grandchildren, William Ward and Rebecca Green (Ira Matthews).
She is survived by: her children, Cheryl Powell (Walter), Gloria Gale Green (Zeke), Margaret Hinson (Donald) and William "Tac" Ward (Gina); and her brother Harry Lee Greene (Amber). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, family asks memorials be made to Angel House of Whiteville, Columbus Christian Academy, or charity of choice.
