She was predeceased by: her parents, Graham Ferrier Batten and Annie Mae Simmons Batten (Richard Wesley "R. W."). She is survived by: her children, Richard Wesley "Dickie" Dowless Jr. and Wanda Faye Dowless Batten; her siblings, John Allen Batten, Raymond Earl Batten, Jimmy Ray "Jack" Batten, Billy Gene Batten and Peggy Ann Batten Dorman; her son Jerry Allen Dowless (Nancy) of Macon, NC; her children-in-law, Jerry Wayne Batten and Shelby Jean Dowless of Saluda, NC; and her brother Garland Frank Batten of Whiteville. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Lower Cape Fear Hospice of 206 Warrior Trail, Whiteville, NC 28472 or White Marsh Baptist Church.
