Doris Bowen Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Bowen of Whiteville, North Carolina, who passed away on February 10, 2021 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Fowler and Lona Thompson Fowler; her husband James Soloman Bowen, Jr.; her daughter Susan Alexia Bowen; her brother Maurice Fowler; and her daughter-in-law Marlena H. Bowen.
She is survived by: her son James Donald Bowen, Sr. of Whiteville; her grandchildren, Tally Bowen of Whiteville, Donald "Donnie" Bowen, Jr. of Whiteville and Sara Elizabeth Frank (Jeff) of Las Vegas, NV; her great grandchildren, Garrett Havard and Dylan Havard of Maine; and her nieces, Robbin Bowen, Linda Jablonowski and Teresa Melvin.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mishop Springs United Methodist Church, 2756 Pine Log Road, Whiteville, NC 28472.
