He was predeceased by: his parents, Waldon High and Beulah Brown High. He is survived by: his son John Alan High (Elizabeth) of Whiteville, NC; his granddaughters, Mary Elizabeth "Molly" HIgh of Breckenridge, Margaret Worth "Maggie" High of Whiteville, NC and Grace Alan High of Whiteville, NC; his sister Brenda H. Wallace (Willie) of Delco, NC; his niece Pamela Miller (Shane); and his nephew Ashley Wallace.
Memorials may be made to Western Prong Baptist Church, Whiteville, N.C. Pallbearers will be Robert Carl Brown, III, Christopher Shane Miller, Henry Willis Nance, Jr., Calvin Leon Turner, Jr., Francis Neal Turner, and Ashley Thurman Wallace.
