It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dewey Herman Dowless of Whiteville, North Carolina, who passed away on February 4, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leslie James and Vivian Bradshaw Dowless; his wife Linda Dowless; his siblings, Levi Dowless, Shelton Dowless, James Dowless, Jr. and Peggy Lou Dowless Hooks; and his great grandchild Colby Dowless.
He is survived by: his sons, Clark Dowless (Mary) of Whiteville and Randy Dowless of Whiteville; his siblings, Harry Dowless (Linda) of Hope Mills, McCrae Dowless of Bladenboro, Myrtice Johnson (Tommy) of Bladenboro and Filena Carson (Lloyd) of Autryville; his grandchildren, Scott Dowless (Nicole), Stephanie Long (Sam), Tiffany Keel (Eric) and Hope McPherson; and his great grandchildren, Liam, Evelyn, Langston, Easton, Christian and Abel.
