She is survived by: her sons, Tom Hammonds (Dana) of Elizabeth City, NC, Jeff Hammonds (Jessica) of Whiteville, NC and Anthony Hammonds (Sunnie) of Chadbourn, NC; her brother Charles Britt of Sanford, NC; her grandchildren, Thomas Hammonds, Kadance Hammonds, Ashton Hammonds, Kolton Hammonds, Laney Alexandria Hammonds, Tylor Duncan, Chandler Duncan and Makenzie Duncan; and her close friend Susan Slater.
