He is survived by: his wife Myrtle Duncan Hammond; his stepsons, Jessie Long and Dennis Long; and his siblings, Norman Hammond of Jackson, MI, Jesse Hammond of Paisley, FL, Alice Creech of Whiteville, Helen Davis of Whiteville and Edna Lane of Laurinburg. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
