He is survived by: his wife Annabelle Singletary Hooks; his daughters, Sherry Hooks Vickers (Wayne) of Whiteville and Pamela Hooks Fowler (Chucky) of Whiteville; his brothers, Tommy Hooks (Linda) of Chadbourn and Marshall Hooks (Shelvy) of Hallsboro; his grandchildren, Bryan Wade Fowler (Ashley), Emily Ann Fowler Reecer (Myles), Lindsey Vickers Chattin (Scott) and Eric Vickers; and his great grandchildren, Bailey Fowler, Daniel Fowler and Walden Chattin.
