He was predeceased by: his parents, Burris V. Sellers, Sr. and Jenny Bell Mercer Sellers (late Frances Pierce Sellers); and his sister Emma Sellers Bordeaux. He is survived by: his siblings, Patsy S. Sellers and Garland Sellers; his children, Walter "Butch" Sellers (Kim) of Whiteville, Sara S. Richardson (Bryce) of Mayodan, Lee S. Sorrell (Michael) of Angier and Ann S. Redick (John) of Durham; his grandsons, Joseph Stancil (Courtney) of Leland, Matt Sorrell (Ella) of Glen Burnie, MD and David Sorrell (Kaylin) of Angier; his great grandchildren, Aidan, Emma and Aiva; his sister-in-law Faye S. Pierce; his nephew Malcolm "Buddy" Pierce (Avonda); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Angie Reaves (Matt), Denise Ward of Whiteville, Dillon Gore (Blair) of Whiteville, William Gray (Ginger) of Georgetown, SC., Robert Gray (Donna) of Georgetown, SC. and Chris Gray (Kelly) of Georgetown, SC..
