Though Burma may no longer walk beside us, their legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
Burma is survived by: son Kendrick Shipman; and siblings, Eunice Shipman Campbell, Lynette Shipman Johnson, Mary Shipman-Lindsey, Helen Shipman Nesmith, Sheryl Shipman Nixon, Patricia Shipman Hines, Delmas Shipman and Lawrence Shipman.
Visitation was held on Sunday, February 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Peoples Funeral Home of Whiteville (707 Vinson Blvd, Whiteville, NC 28472). A funeral service was held on Monday, February 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church (5548 Silver Spoon Rd, Whiteville, NC 28472).
