With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Betty Strickland (Whiteville, North Carolina), born in Columbus, Mississippi, who passed away on October 18, 2019 at the age of 83. She was predeceased by: her parents, George Elmer and Thelma Smith Boswell; her children, Donna Sue Strickland and William George Strickland; and her brother Clinton Boswell.

She is survived by: her children, Wanda S. Butler (Billy) and Harold Dean Strickland (Dorene) of Leland. She is also survived by 8 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren.
