He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Wright and Bertha Faircloth Wright; and his brothers, Louie Wright, Charles Wright, Rutherford Wright and Lynn Wright.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Vance Wright; his children, Luke Wright (Alix) of Aldie, VA and Jenny Wright Lovitt (Rusty) of Whiteville, NC; his siblings, Bob Wright of Tabor City, NC, David Wright of Nakina, NC, Roger Wright of Clarendon, NC, Hilda Atwell of Indian Trail, NC, Linda Moore of Cherry Grove, SC and Becky Digh of Gastonia, NC; and his grandchildren, Cora Wright, Reese Wright, Lacey Hinson and Brody Hinson.
