She was predeceased by: her father Hubert Ortan Mann; and her sister Bonnie Mann. She is survived by: her husband Beverly K. "Jack" Smythe; her daughters, Kathy Ann Jackson of Wilmington, Debbie Chestnut (Homer) of Wilmington and Tammy Jones (William) of Whiteville; her stepchildren, Laurie Wilkie (Bill) of Asheville, Jack Lee Smythe (Julie) of Charleston and Jacqueline M. of Tennessee; her sister Shelby Blankenship of Princeton; her grandchildren, Scott Duncan, Michelle Squires, Amy Greene (Ben), Erica Jones, Wendy Knox (Joe) and Duff Chestnutt (Jamie); and her stepgrandchildren, Tara Wilkie, Ryan Wilkie and Miranda Wilkie. She is also survived by 12 Great-grandchildren; 6 Great-great-grandchildren.
