With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Alfredia Ikner of Whiteville, North Carolina, born in Columbus, North Carolina, who passed away on May 17, 2021 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leamon George Ikner and Rosettie Williams Ikner; and her sons, Larry Eugene Ward and Kenneth Earl Ward. She is survived by: her children, Shelvey Jean Long of Clarendon, NC and Terrance Alverd Ward of Nakina, NC; and her siblings, Bufa Mae Milligan of Tabor City, NC, Mary Patricia Shanahan of Whiteville, NC, Diane Ikner of Chadbourn, NC, Palmer Ikner of Lexington, NC and Roy Dale Ikner of Clarendon, NC. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
