He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Blackwell Homesley; and his siblings, Barbara Homesley and James "Jim" Homesley. He is survived by: his children, Dairy, Debbie Hipps (Roy) of Kings Mountain, Janet Griffin (Darrell) of Kings Mountain and Mike Homesley (Becky) of Kings Mountain; his sister-in-law Judy Parton Homesley; his grandchildren, Caitlin Marlow (Nick) of Shelby, Tyler Mezey of Kings Mountain, Michael Homesley, Jr. (Katelyn) of Chapel Hill and Kacee Griffin of Winston-Salem; his great grandchildren, Cayleigh and Charleigh Marlow of Shelby; and his siblings, Steve Homesley (Cindy) of Cherryville, Sonny Homesley (Jeanne) of Bessemer City, Larry Homesley (Vickie) of Kings Mountain, Marie O'Donnell of Cherryville, Helen Lamoureux of Cherryville, Joann Minton (Ernie) of Charlotte and Shirley Wright of Lincolnton. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
