He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldred Meeks and Elizabeth Meeks. He is survived by: his wife Valerie Meeks; his sister Betty Bowles (Bob); his children, Phillip Meeks (Kathy), Brad Meeks (Kim) and Meg Meeks Gentry; his grandchildren, Ashley George, Stephanie Meeks, Lauren Walker, Faye Simon, Tyler Meeks, Parker Meeks and Alex Meeks; and his great grandchildren, Carson Meeks, Mila George, Caleb Meeks and Joseph Simon.
