He was predeceased by: his brothers, Grady Collie and William "Bill" Hilton Collie. He is survived by: his wife Carol Smith Collie; his daughter Amanda Carol Collie Pierce (Daniel "Benny" Pellum) of Red Oak; his siblings, Odell Dawes of Four Oaks and Tim Collie (Cheryl) of Wilson; his grandchildren, Jenna and Levi Pellum; and his sister-in-law Carol Collie (Gracie Jane). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family friends and other extended relatives.
