It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lula Bell Anistead of Whitakers, North Carolina, who passed away on July 12, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lee Andrew Boone and Annie Alston Boone; and her sons, Willie, Chester, Burnette and Thomas Anistead.
She is survived by: her children, Amos Anistead of Rocky Mount, NC, Geraldine Martin of Whitakers, NC, Ethel Coley of Whitakers, NC, Jeanette Bryant of Whitakers, NC, Beulah Bobbitt of Whitakers, NC and Gloria Williams (John) of Whitakers, NC; her sister Marie Bell of Richmond, VA; her daughter-in-law Patricia Anistead of Whitakers, NC; and her sisters-in-law, Christine Boone of Whitakers, NC and Mary Brake of Nashville, NC. She is also survived by thirty-five grandchildren; seventy-four great grandchildren; thirty-six great great grandchildren.
