She was predeceased by: her parents, Kenneth Swanson and Edythe Buchanan Swanson. She is survived by: her husband John Gillis; her children, John Alan Gillis of Oak Island, NC, Mary Knox (Douglas) of New Freedom, PA, Joseph Gillis (Carrie) of Westfield and Martin Gillis of Minnetrista, Minnesota; and her siblings, Kent Swanson of North Platte, Kathryn Irwin of Fort Smith and Linda Staffier of Mendon, Massachusetts.. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren.
