He was predeceased by: his parents, Chauncey Burr and Esther Emma Joseph Loomis; his wife Priscilla Loomis; his son Stephen; and also Bill.

He is survived by: his daughters, Dana Corcoran (Patrick) and Lacy Pessagno (Larry); his grandchildren, Brian, Matt, Josh, Lambert, Ashley, Lacy, Lindsey, Zach and Andy; his great grandchildren, Alexandra, Dylan, Lacy Jean, Aaron, Kennady, Samantha, Jaxyn, Cameron, Kellan, Nick, Allaria, Giavanna, Atlas and Roman; his great great grandchild Mateo; and also, Mary and Ben.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or FirstHealth Hospice.

“Dr. Loomis (whom I always knew as Joe) was our family doctor and friend. He delivered my 2 younger brothers (1950's) and made a few house calls when family members were ill. I will always remember when I cut my thigh pretty deep with a razor blade while trying to cut the head off of a plastic army-man (for the battle field scene; not a good idea). I had to go to the old Lake View Hospital/get stitches Dr. Loomis asked me if I had been shaving my legs (LOL).. He was a character.. My condolence.”
