It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edward James Sharkany of Whispering Pines, North Carolina, born in Norwalk, Connecticut, who passed away on November 30, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Stephen Sharkany and Marie Leprich; and his brother Robert Sharkany. He is survived by: his wife Marion Studwell Sharkany; his children, Nancy Ellis, Teresa Matheson (Paul) and Gregg Sharkany; his grandchildren, Katie Coffey (Nick), Neil Ellis (Ashley) and Jennifer Odom (Terrance); his great grandchildren, TJ Coffey, Elizabeth Coffey, Madelyn Ellis and Briella Ellis; and his brother Richard Sharkany.

Memorial contributions can be made to FirstHealth Hospice House.
