He was predeceased by: his parents, Will Samuel and Alma Owens Dunkley. He is survived by: his wife Anna Leigh Gunter Dunkley; his son William "Allan"; his daughter-in-law Abbey Mooney Dunkley; his aunt Nellie Owens Boles; and his pets, Scooby, Ace and Little Bit.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to State Line Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, in care of Carroll Dalton, 1448 State Line Church Rd., Westfield, NC 27053.
