He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude William and Allene McHone Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Bowman Johnson; his stepson Donnie Fleenor (Marla) of Ararat, NC; his granddaughter Mariah Fleenor; his sisters, Cynthia Johnson of Greensboro, Diane Luckado (Vernon) of Greensboro, Deborah Gregory (Ernie) of Greensboro and Sharon "Jo" Pope (Alan) of Raleigh; and his close friend Sammy Shackleford.
